Any driver 1 or more laps down cease racing & are scored in their finishing position but as -1 or -23 or however many laps down they were. EX: 2day at the brickyard at the end of the race Matt Kenseth was scored 38th -16 & Kevin Harvick was 37th -12. No. After the checkered flag is displayed the race is over.
