are the same people that hate bush the same people?
that do this…at a theme park we attended this weekend, before the gates opened, the guy next me was like " aw! come on!", when they played the star spangled banner and raised the flag. it was pretty funny that his date who he was trying to impress put her hand over her heart for that solemn moment that might have held up his day by one minute.

I don’t hate Mr. Bush, but his policies aren’t making me like him very much.

No.
You have to admit it’s really sleazy the way corporate America uses your superstitions and sentimentality to justify seperating the sheeple from their money.
P.S. The daily gate opening of a theme park can hardly be described as "a solemn moment." I seriously question your values if you can be so easily duped by such an obvious commercial ploy.

No. The same people that HATE Bush LOVE the Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

Do you mean they are self centered little kids who pretend to care about America but really only care about themselves

No.It seems to me that the guy was just eager to get into the park.Plenty of kids in my school are like that, and most of them don’t even know what the hell is going on in the country.
I hate Bush,but I’m not like that

No, absolutely not.
This is especially important on this July 4th weekend.
These people are just fools, if you connect Bush’s policy to our Flag and National anthem it is to discredit the foundation paved in blood that is the United States.
War sucks, and I think Bush sucks, but I also respect the need for a strong military and all those men and women who have fought for 200+ years because they belived in fighting for our liberties and the pursuit of happiness.
Bush maybe horrible, but do not confusing 7 years of failed policy with 200+ of a truly great country filled will competent and committed individuals, who believe in a greater and better world for everyone.

Don’t think the two are related.
And on further thought, are you saying that they played the anthem BEFORE anyone was in the park? What would be the point of that? Are you sure this is a true story?

Not liking the 8 years of disastrous reign of Bush does not equate to not loving America. Bush, if anything, represents to many Americans, the epitome of what a president should NOT be.

Joe, you can dislike the president, whoever he is and still love your country. George Bush is NOT America. He is, in fact, the spokesperson and representative for a Small number of Americans, the very rich, the profiteers and the religious conservatives.
I have voted every election except one. I have helped candidates I believed in run for office. I have also protested war and policies I felt were illegal. I don’t hate anyone. But I am ashamed that we, as a people, allowed our lust for vengeance to blind us to Bush’s lack of qualifications, his lack of honor. That doesn’t make me less of an American than his few remaining supporters. It makes me older and wiser than some, just flat smarter than the rest.

Yes, as a matter of fact they are. And they are the same ones that leave negative comments on here to get a lousy 2 points. Every time, anytime, anywhere and everywhere I WILL RAISE MY HAND TO MY HEART AND THANK THE LORD FOR THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED FOR THAT SONG, AND WHO DIED FOR THAT FLAG. THIS COUNTRY MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
I WOULD HAVE TOLD THAT BENEDICT ARNOLD TO SHUT THE HELL UP AND STOP RUINING A GOOD MOMENT. THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF TIME LATER FOR HIM TO GO BE A JERK.
