Because 4 is divisible by two, every number divisible by 4 is also divisible by two but not necessarlily the other way around. So, your lowest common multiple is:
3 x 4 x 5 = 60

If you numbered the students 1 through however many there were, then every even-numbered student got a book, every student whose number is a multiple of 3 got a banner, etc. So the student that got all four items had a number that’s a multiple of 2, 3, 4, and 5. The LCM of these numbers is your answer.

the first answer every 60th student…. 3 doesnt go into 20 or 40
