what’s wrong with you and izrael? it isn’t usual to see the demonstrating Izraelis with banners like "destroy XX" while Arabs burning american flag and carrying banners "destroy izrael" are everyday part of evening news..
I am a high school student in a small high school in ohio. In my school it is an offense punishable by suspension to publicly demonstrate certain political symbols, most controversy takes place around the swastika and the hammer and sickle. The reasoning by the school is that those symbols are offensive to some people in school.
I am personally russian and communist and take great pride in my heritage some of my friends are german and had ancestors that were Nazis. Argument my friend made is that while it is prohibited to display our symbols (hammer and sickle for me) it is ok to display the american flag or the eagle which is offensive to us.
So far we have been taking some actions like refusing to stand up for the pledge of allegiance, public displays of our heritage with flags and banners out side of the school, and several strikes. But useless and we sometimes get in trouble.
My group of friend is considering to take this issue to court.
Tell me what you think, and some suggestion.
BY THE WAY the goal is no to support nazis but in general allow us to express our heritage. I can see why school is against swastikas but why not allow the hammer and sickle or the korean symbol.
Ok, so i have to make a banner about how America gained freedom. I’m at a total blank. I need 5 symbols. so far, i have: the french flag (because they helped the patriot cause), and an american flag in a heart (patriotism). I need 3 more.

i have to have a catchy saying on it. I just can NOT think of anything.

There were people attaching the American flag to any part of their cars to prove to the world that Americans love our country and that we stand together as one nation to support one another.
I recalled tonight as I was thinking about to that time. That the fire trucks all had huge American flags waving in the wind as they drove down the streets, people’s pride in our country. It
choked me up to see those huge flags waving like a banner.
That day of 911 we all came together as a country, there was no one looking at one another as if they did not belong. Nope we were one Nation under God indivisible with Truth and Justice for all.
As I sit here typing this the tears are running down my cheeks
as I love my country so much, and I hate seeing it war torn in the news media with nit picky things that mean nothing and our boys and women over there across the waters fighting for the freedoms of others. It is hard to imagine that some do not even support our troops.
I just wanted to remind everyone that we are one nation under God.
and it is how it should be. No white/no black/no color just good people in one belief that we together we stand or together we fall.

When we go to the Bahamas, lot’s of the nicer hotels have Canadian and American flags at the front, or at the back near the pools. It’s really weird, because it’s not in Canada or the USA. I guess I can understand that they put up the American flag since lot’s of the hotels are American, and Bahamas are near Florida, but then why Canadian? But it still seems weird to have the Canadian and American flags at hotels in the Bahamas.
I’m looking for one of those flags that mounts on the side of the house… the seasonal/national ones. I see them everywhere but can’t seem to find any flag except the American flag at any store (I tried Lowes, Walmart, Target, K-mart.) I don’t want to have to shop online. Any ideas?

In a letter to Mississippi Senator Bilbo in 1947, Senator Byrd wrote "never submit to fight beneath the banner [the American flag] with a Negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds."

Minority neighbor has numerous loud, very late night parties. Asking him to chill at 10 didn’t work, and calling the cops is getting old. Monday we put up 3 flag poles, starting tuesday morning at 8 am sharp I held colors in front of the house. played the Stars Spangled Banner while raising the American flag at max volume, then on the shorter poles I put up a Confederate Battle flag while dixie played and a nazi flag while the Horst lied blasted away. He came out and didn’t say anything, but he was obviously mad. I fiqure I have put up with him for 6 months, so he can hear my "colors" for the next six months, hope he also enjoys those flags flapping in the wind all day.
