I enlisted in the US Army and i think this would be a cool tattoo to get on my Left Chest. it is the US Army Emblem. there will be No colors, just black and skin and it wont have the 1775
oh, and on top the snake is holding a banner that says "This We’ll Defend"
I saw a flag like this and it really made me mad. Not that I am homophobic or anything, but I think that it is blasphemous to the United States flag. I have gotten upset over other flags that are designed after the American flag but are not the right colors, so I am not bashing homosexuals.
The whole purpose of the color guard is to display the colors and show them off
The history of the color guard is pretty interesting. There are many different aspects of the color guard. Marching bands can have a color guard. Ceremonies can have a color guard including those with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and there is also a color guard for the military. Each of these color guard situations has its own unique situation. In the marching bands the color guard is usually spinning brightly colored flags. In official ceremonies, however, the color guard’s sole purpose is to hold the United States flag and the other flags that may be relevant, such as the state flag or the flag of the organization. There is a lot of ceremony and protocol involved with the color guard. But how did it all begin?
The whole purpose of the color guard is to display the colors and show them off with pride. This is to give a feeling of pride to all those involved with the ceremony or the situation. That is one of the reasons why it is popular for military situations. When the military service members look at the flags, it is supposed to remind them of why they are serving. The people in the United States Military are there on their own will for the most part so it helps them remember why they are fighting.
Whenever there was a battle throughout history, there would always be some kind of a reminder, be it a flag or other memento, to help keep the moral of the soldiers up and keep them motivated. Our modern understanding of what the color guard is has its roots in that. Over the years the notion of the color guard has evolved and there are different procedures in place that make the color guard an even greater official event.
When it comes to the color guard, it helps to understand its history. The history of the color guard is something that can be traced back. During these earlier times it wasn’t necessarily called the color guard. But everything that today’s color guard represents has its roots in that. If you want to learn about the color guard, there are very good resources and books out there. If you want to get involved with the color guard and take part it helps to understand the history so you can understand the modern protocols.

What do you think of a dance ministry in church? You know, praise dancing, with the banners, tambourines, flags and colours? My church has it and I love it. Some ppl don’t see it as a necessity, while others, say it’s a great addition to the church.
What’s your take on this?
Also I’ve provide some links as to what the colours mean:

Minority neighbor has numerous loud, very late night parties. Asking him to chill at 10 didn’t work, and calling the cops is getting old. Monday we put up 3 flag poles, starting tuesday morning at 8 am sharp I held colors in front of the house. played the Stars Spangled Banner while raising the American flag at max volume, then on the shorter poles I put up a Confederate Battle flag while dixie played and a nazi flag while the Horst lied blasted away. He came out and didn’t say anything, but he was obviously mad. I fiqure I have put up with him for 6 months, so he can hear my "colors" for the next six months, hope he also enjoys those flags flapping in the wind all day.

College Basketball is big business. There is a lot of money to be made, and it’s not just going into the pockets of overpaid pro athletes.
The demand for college basketball apparel, memorabilia and footwear continues to grow. Fans of all ages purchase autographed caps to promote their favorite players, and they’re taking a nostalgic turn and buying basketball jerseys of their own college teams. This demand is met by the modern generation of kids that live on the fashions launched by their favorite basketball stars. When the NCAA tournament begins in March, the demand for college basketball merchandise goes through the roof. Suddenly, everyone is in the market for college caps, jerseys, shorts, logos, headbands, wristbands and team logo merchandise.
Basketball shoes are in particular demand, as all fans want to sport the shoes endorsed by their favorite athletes. Nike, Reebok and Adidas have all fueled this fire by marketing shoes named for popular basketball starts. Ever since Chuck Taylor endorsed his first pair of Converse sneakers back in 1923, children have been tireless pleading with parents to buy shoes carrying the name of their favorite athletes. The high voltage advertising that accompanies basketball game telecasts only fuels the “gotta-have” basketball fever. The arrival of the Internet has made college basketball merchandise even more accessible. Buyers can now purchase anything and everything online, from college flags, banners, hats, helmets and jackets, to shoes, shorts, watches, jewelry and more. Autographed photographs of favorite players, and photos from historic matches can be easily purchased online. You can even buy a watch that was worn by a coach or a star player.
The Internet has made it extremely easy for fans to find basketball merchandise particularly associated with their choice of college. Some sites offer custom-made basketball uniforms, so a fan merely enters his or her size requirements to get a “regulation” jersey, jacket or shorts. There are folding chairs available in college colours, stainless steel and pewter travel mugs, thermoses, snack helmets — virtually anything you want is emblazoned with college basketball logos and ready to be picked up by hungry fans. Even desktops are getting into the college basketball merchandise groove, and the tech-savvy fan can now purchase an optical mouse in his or her choice of college colours.
Online auction sites are great sources for college basketball merchandise. Hundreds of retailers put up basketball memorabilia on the auction sites, and wait for the fans’ best bids. If you’re in the market for memorabilia you’ll need to bid with caution, as there is an influx of fake memorabilia on the market. Check the seller’s return policy and feedback rating before agreeing to make your purchase.
From the day the big tourney kicks off in March, and right through Christmas, college basketball merchandise means big money for marketers. If you have a college basketball fan in your life, you’ll never be short of great gift ideas.

My Fiance and I are going to be getting married at a speedway. The ceremony will take place on the start/finish line. We are trying to come up with some ideas for an arbor. It has to be something that can stand on its own and not be staked down. Does anyone have any ideas that we could use? How we could decorate it? Our colors are black and white with touches of checkered flags.
Thanks for your help, I will see if they will allow smaller water containers. They would not allow us to put up a tent using water barrels in case of rain.
Decorative Garden Flags – Revel in the colors and vibrancy of decorative flags
In today’s world, a ‘happy new year’ or a ‘thank you’ – however courteous and sincere they may be– are often considered just a drab, flat and inadequate expression of joy, thrill or gratitude. No wonder then, gifts have come to play such an important role in the expression of our feelings.
But there are some gifts that evoke a lot more feeling than others. Decorative flags fall into that category. A flag seems to have that inexplicable power to stand way above human language when used as a tool of expression of one’s subtle and intricate feelings and emotions.
Decorate your home and garden? Check out our selection of Garden Flags
Decorated with colorful designs and various shades, the eclectic combinations and nuances of colors of a decorative flag compensate for our linguistic deficiencies. Whether loud and pompous or subtle and elegant, colors speak the language that words fail to express. Decorative flags infuse the environment with liveliness, vibrancy and vivacity, while never failing to command a sense of awe and respect. Unlike national flags, decorative flags are not subject to restrictions and protocol, and these can be hoisted on stands and placed on one’s work and study tables. They can also be hoisted against walls or displayed like luminaries or streamers in the house rooms and courtyards, with their constant visual presence serving as a steady reminder of what they represent.
Made from different materials like a piece of ordinary cloth, a paper or even a plastic sheet, these flags may not mean much in monetary value, but their power lies in the ability to still kindle powerful feelings. Like paintings where every stroke and every shade connote a different meaning, colors on a flag communicate different emotions. For example, the red color denotes hope (sanguine) and enthusiasm, green stands for peace, yellow for bravery, and so on. The phrase ‘flying colors’ is etymologically associated with a flying, fluttering colorful flag. Experience the loftiest feelings of pride in belonging, joy in individuality, celebration of oneness and love in the myriad colors of decorative flags available on our online flag store, which boasts an unmatched selection of flags, suitable for every occasion that merits the giving of gifts.

The logo and colors provide the face for your event and can help to build credibility. It is always a good idea to include your organization’s logo on registration forms to lend the credibility of that entity to the event itself. However, creating a separate logo for the event itself can help you convey more ideas than your company logo can on its own.
Adding your company logo to your event marketing materials like flyers, emails, invitations, registration forms, and event websites is imperative, especially when your company or organization is an industry-wide expert or a household name. For example, Zig Ziglar conferences or Yahoo! Search Marketing seminars always rely on the brand recognition of the parent company to help create notoriety and credibility for their events. Using your organization’s logo also helps to create consistency when you send registrants from your homepage to the registration form. Seeing a prominent reference to your parent organization reminds the registrant that the event is presented with the same quality and attention to detail that they have already experienced.
You should also consider creating a logo specifically for your event especially if the event has a large following and is building its own branding. It is not a bad idea to incorporate the general theme of your organization’s logo into the event-specific logo, including the colors, shapes and fonts. However, make sure to give the event logo its own identity or twist which makes it unique from your primary logo. If you need inspiration for elements to add to the event logo you can take inspiration from the properties of the event itself. Consider the event venue (located in Florida? Consider adding a palm tree.), the type of event (what golf tournament logo is complete without a club, flag or ball?), and the industry. It may seem cliché to use imagery like this but remember that you are trying to get registrants to identify with the idea of your event at a glance via the logo.
Making use of your company colors contributes to the consistency of the registration process, especially when using online registration system to run your event. A more consistent feel from the invitation to the website to the registration will make your efforts seem more coordinated and organized which makes registrants more receptive to your message. The colors you use don’t have to exactly mirror the scheme used on your parent organization’s website, try playing with a new pattern, or add another color to the scheme to make the event materials feel fresh and cutting edge. You could also consider using gradients and glass effects to further the ‘cutting-edge’ styling.
