I am not sure what to do. It all started when we first moved here there had been a problem with my daughter getting on tricare and she was having seizures and needed to get to a neurologist. His Sgt. told him we could go and get it fixed. It took all day with everyone giving us the runaround and we still didn’t get it fixed. At 16:30 his Sgt. called and said he should bring me and the baby with him to the motor pool so they could meet us and he could do final formation. When we got there they greeted me smiling and friendly and seemed like they really wanted to help as I explained all the trouble we had had that day. Then they walked over to do final formation and after the first 10 minutes it turned into a b**ch out my husband session. (I could hear everything) His Sgt. is so 2faced. His Sgt. was calling him a liar and me a liar saying that he just knew that we just sat around the house all day on our butts and didn’t even attempt to get her tricare straightened out. !!To me it was him calling me a liar and a NEGLEGENT parent!! He reamed my husband for three hours with me and the baby sitting in the car. We have been here at Fort Bragg for 5mo. and so far this Sgt. has written him up for counseling over 6 times now. He constantly writes him up saying that my husband is hurting the team by lying all the time about taking our daughter to a neurologist appt., taking me to an appointment, or his own appointments. When my husband tries to prove that we did have and go to the appointment the Sgt. then writes him up for "shoving an appointment slip in his face and displaying himself in a manner unbecoming of a soldier" which is an exaggeration. The latest one….they have some schooling this week and Monday night my husband got a call notifying him that he had a mandatory profile dentist appointment Tuesday morning at 07:00. He called his Sgt. and couldn’t get ahold of him, the next in the chain of command was in school so my husband avoided interrupting him and went to the next in the chain. He spoke to this Sgt.2 and I heard the conversation as the phone was on speaker. Sgt.2 told him to arrive to PT wearing ACU’s and attend the dentist appointment and they would get a message to school saying he would be there as soon as possible. At 22:30 his Sgt. called to b**ch my husband out for calling Sgt.2 and told him to show up in PT uniform instead. He then called back fifteen minutes later for more calling my husband a liar saying that he asked someone else who said that my husband really didn’t have a dentist appointment…was not a team player…was disrespecting him….and then told him he had five minutes to dress in PT uniform and meet Sgt at CQ and he would set his rank aside and they would fight !????! This is the second time I have heard this Sgt call my husband out to fight. Since when is this allowable? His Sgt said he wants to get my husbands rank removed and then get him removed from the military and ‘sent back where he came from’. Tuesday morning his Sgt wrote him up again and said he will be sending it to the Commander to get his file Flagged and bust him back to E1. In the counseling summary he stated that Sgt.2 said he never told my husband to arrive in ACU’s and he wrote him up for failing to use chain of command and disrespecting him the night before on the phone. My husband is in the process of filing his reenlistment and if he gets flagged he was told he would not be able to leave this base. I am a stay at home mom and if he looses his rank there is no way to pay our bills, buy groceries, diapers, formula, baby food, and put gas in the car with E1 pay. I have already gone up the chain of command a few steps and brought up my concerns with this Sgt and his targeting my husband and have only gotten very minimal and temporary results. His Sgt is having him watched or something. Another Sgt had asked him for a certain phone number my husband has at the house so when he came home for lunch he got the number. When he called CQ and asked for the Sgt CQ said that that Sgt wasn’t there. Not two minutes later his Sgt called him instantly jumping him for trying to call a different Sgt without even knowing why my husband was trying to call. I don’t know what to do. This Sgt is ruining our lives and not to mention the added stress is carrying over into our marriage and my husbands relationship with our daughter. Its too hard for him to come home, already maxed out on stress, to a nine month old who is constantly screaming and crying because she is teething. He has tried to use the chain of command to get something fixed and was reamed for doing so by a few of those over him and the problem was never touched. I don’t know what to do and im afraid if this keeps up we will end up divorced and my husbands military career will get trashed and cut short. He wants to stay in but this Sgt’s main goal is to break him and get him tossed with dishonorable.

P.S. A lot of people are saying I need to take care of appointments my self. We are a single car family. His Sgt has ordered him to taxi all the bachelors around at all hours.(If he politely refuses so I can use the car he gets in trouble again, we have tried) The appointments are in Raleigh so if yall would prefer I walk that distance I could attend the appts my self. And the would not sign her for tricare without him there because they claim a signed birth certificate and the fact that we are married is not proof enough that she qualifies for tricare. * I know that is not right and that is why we had so much trouble. Those people didn’t know what they were doing.*

I recently found a car I liked on craigslist, super cheap for what it’s really worth. But the seller wanted me to pay via ebay saying it’s more secure. I agreed, but after recieving the invoice supposedly from ebay, I did some research. The seller had posted the same car in multiple cities on craigslist which got flagged for removal. I asked her about it, and recieved a "switching the subject" response. The other fishy thing was that they wanted me to pay using moneygram on "ebay". I researched this as well, and ebay actually said that they don’t allow for that. They only do paypal or in person, and that it’s a big sign of a scam.

I have to admit, instead of just using ebay, the seller had it posted on craigslist. The price was just too good, which I had to talk myself out of. I wanted to warn anyone who might be going through the same thing that it’s probably a scam…

ebay said there are spoof emails that look so legit, so be careful everyone! There are even fake ebay sites!

Craigslist suggested to do local buyers anyway to avoid scams, and they were also against moneygram on their site.

I bought a bundle of Wii games on eBay from a seller in the U.K. He had over 60 100% positive feedback and nothing that raised a red flag. On the eBay listing he stated that these games are NTSC and will only work on American/Canadian consoles and modded Wiis.

I have tried to play all 16 games and I can’t get a single game to register in my U.S. Wii. The first thing I noticed about the discs is that they all look different than a standard NTSC label. First off, some of the labels look dark. Secondly, they all have a box with colored number of varying sorts under the "Wii" mark. On one it says "RVLU 3311." On another it says "0062."

The labels say they are NTSC and for use only in USA, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Some of them also say DVD ROM D9.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?
I forgot to mention that none of the games came with their original boxes. So the only thing I have to go off of is the disc itself. All of the discs say they are NTSC somewhere on the disc.

"I am posting this (and it is long) because I think our society needs a huge ‘Wake-up’ call. As a shelter manager, I am going to share a little insight with you all…a view from the inside if you will. First off, this is a forum to for adoption and/or rehoming as clearly stated in the rules. All of you breeders/sellers on craigslist should not only be flagged (and I hope the good people on craigslist will continue to do so with blind fury), but you should be made to work in the ‘back’ of an animal shelter for just one day. Maybe if you saw the life drain from a few sad, lost, confused eyes, you would change your mind about breeding and selling to people you don’t even know, that puppy you just sold will most likely end up in my shelter when it’s not a cute little puppy anymore.

So how would you feel if you knew that there’s about a 90% chance that dog will never walk out of the shelter it is going to be dumped at? Purebred or not! About 50% of all of the dogs that are ‘owner surrenders’ or ‘strays’, that come into my shelter are purebred dogs. The most common excuses I hear are; ‘We are moving and we can’t take our dog (or cat).’ Really? Where are you moving to that doesn’t allow pets? Or they say ‘The dog got bigger than we thought it would’. How big did you think a German Shepherd would get? ‘We don’t have time for her’. Really? I work a 10-12 hour day and still have time for my 6 dogs! ‘She’s tearing up our yard’. How about making her a part of your family? They always tell me, ‘We just don’t want to have to stress about finding a place for her, we know she’ll get adopted, she’s a good dog’. Odds are your pet won’t get adopted & how stressful do you think being in a shelter is? Well, let me tell you, your pet has 72 hours to find a new family from the moment you drop it off, sometimes a little longer if the shelter isn’t full and your dog manages to stay completely healthy; if it sniffles, it dies. Your pet will be confined to a small run/kennel in a room with about 25 other barking or crying animals. It will have to relieve itself where it eats and sleeps. It will be depressed and it will cry constantly for the family that abandoned it. If your pet is lucky, I will have enough volunteers in that day to take him/her for a walk. If I don’t, your pet won’t get any attention besides having a bowl of food slid under the kennel door and the waste sprayed out of its pen with a high-powered hose. If your dog is big, black or any of the ‘Bully’ breeds (pit bull, rottie, mastiff, etc) it was pretty much dead when you walked it through the front door. Those dogs just don’t get adopted. If your dog doesn’t get adopted within its 72 hours and the shelter is full, it will be destroyed. If the shelter isn’t full and your dog is good enough, and of a desirable enough breed, it may get a stay of execution, not for long though. Most get very kennel protective after about a week and are destroyed for showing aggression, even the sweetest dogs will turn in this environment. If your pet makes it over all of those hurdles, chances are it will get kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection and will be destroyed because shelters just don’t have the funds to pay for even a 0 treatment.

Here’s a little euthanasia 101 for those of you that have never witnessed a perfectly healthy, scared animal being ‘put-down’. First, your pet will be taken from its kennel on a leash, they always look like they think they are going for a walk, happy, wagging their tails. Until they get to ‘The Room’, every one of them freaks out and puts on the breaks when we get to the door; it must smell like death or they can feel the sad souls that are left in there, it’s strange, but it happens with every one of them. Your dog or cat will be restrained, held down by 1 or 2 vet techs depending on the size and how freaked out they are. Then a euthanasia tech or a vet will start the process, they will find a vein in the front leg and inject a lethal dose of the ‘pink stuff’. Hopefully your pet doesn’t panic from being restrained and jerk. I’ve seen the needles tear out of a leg and been covered with the resulting blood and deafened by the yelps and screams. They all don’t just ‘go to sleep’, sometimes spasm for a while, gasp for air and defecate on themselves. When it all ends, your pets corpse will be stacked like firewood in a large freezer in the back with all of the other animals that were killed, waiting to be picked up like garbage. What happens next? Cremated? Taken to the dump? Rendered into pet food? You’ll never know and it probably won’t even cross your mind, it was just an animal and you can always buy another one right?

I hope that those of you that have read this are bawling your eyes out and can’t get the pictures out of your head. I do everyday on the way home from work. I hate my job, I hate that it exists & I hate that it will always be there unless you people make some changes and realize that the lives you are affecting go much farther than the pets you dump at a shelter. Between 9 and 11 MILLION animals die every year in shelters and only you can stop it. I do my best to save every life I can but rescues are always full, and there are more animals coming in everyday than there are homes.

My point to all of this: DON’T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!

Hate me or flag me if you want to, the truth hurts and reality is what it is. I just hope I maybe changed one persons mind about breeding their dog, taking their loving pet to a shelter, or buying a dog. I hope that someone will walk into my shelter and say ‘I saw this thing on craigslist and it made me want adopt,’ that would make it all worth it."

WASHINGTON (AFP) Immigrants’ rights advocates, elated by the
resounding success
of Monday’s "National Day of Action," which drew the backing of
hundreds of
thousands of protesters across the United States, now are planning a
national
boycott which they hope will have an even greater resonance.
Organizers are
planning the May 1 "Great American Boycott," urging illegal
immigrants — who
cannot vote and who have only limited political power — to flex
their economic
muscle. Protesters are being urged to refrain from shopping, and to
stay away
from school and work.

You should take a moment to let that sink in.

This is a movement orchestrated by people who entered the US
illegally, and then
want to scream about their "rights." WHAT RIGHTS? YOU DON’T EVEN
BELONG HERE!

Let’s take a look at some of the many benefits that illegal aliens
have blessed
our great country with:
Street gangs, graffiti, drugs, skyrocketing healthcare, depreciation
of property
value, illiteracy. The list could go on. What they actually have to
offer
(cheap labor) pales to what they have given our country to deal
with. I’ll take
expensive vegetables over expensive healthcare any day!

And now, like terrorists, they are going to attack our economy –
the one entity
that makes our nation stand out from all the others. The backbone of
our nation.
The country they came to like locusts so they could reap the
benefits is now the
focus of their boycott. You’ve seen it on TV: Marching on our
American streets
waving their Mexican flags, boldly showing that they can be more
racist than who
they accuse of, and yet the obvious is totally oblivious to
them……IF YOU’VE
GOT IT SO BAD HERE, THEN LEAVE!!!

To all the real Americans, you can do one small thing on May 1st,
2006. It won’t
be racist, nor will it be violent. It will not be boastful,
arrogant, selfish,
nor distasteful. It will not be any of those things that
our "guests" have
already displayed. What it will do is nullify a movement.

All you have to do is buy something on May 1st. Make up for what
they will try
to take away. It doesn’t have to be a new car or house (unless you
were already
planning on getting one). It simply needs to be a day
of trading.

Hold off grocery buying until May 1st. Take your wife out to eat
that night. Get
the kids pizza, hamburgers, whatever! Make several trips to the
convenience
store. Buy your meals at work. Fill up your tank. Shop for clothes,
furniture,
outdoor equipment. If it needs to be bought, BUY IT MAY 1st!

Those are just a few suggestions. We’re not asking you to spend your
inheritance
that day, but just to spend more than you normally would. Even if
it’s only a
few dollars, this will help soften the blow that the Mexicans will
try to
inflict on our economy that day. It sounds trivial at first, but if
this idea
gets around, what the Mexicans set out to do will fail.

NOW COMES THE HARD PART: This email will not self-destruct if you
don’t send it
to someone. It will not cause bad luck, nor will it make you
impotent. It will
not do some trick or show a cute little animation if you send it
to "X" amount
of people. You will not get paid for doing it.

It will not help to spread the message though if it just gets
