Something changed in my email, and now I have gray dots next to all mail. When I put my cursor over the dot, it says "flag message." There’s also a flag at the top of the column. I tried checking all messages and hitting "remove flag," but nothing happens. When I open email now, there is a gray banner where the "from, etc." information should be. If I try to flag the message, an orange flag appears. I’ve heard of this happening in yahoo beta, but never classic. Can someone help?

I just got flagged and docked 10 points because I asked a perfectly legitimate question. My question stated that my parents are using a bootleg copy of Windows XP, and AFTER buying a 99.99 legal copy at WalMart he noticed it said upgrade on the side. So I told him I’d ask the community here on what to do, to see if he needed a different copy. Within minutes I was told that I needed the full version which costs 129.99, I told him, and he’s at WalMart right now making a purchase. Than Yahoo’s team decides I need to be flagged since I used the innapropriate "pirated copy of Windows" in my question, and I got flagged and docked -10 points.

Was my question even read by a human being? Is this completely stupid?

Being a rude arrogant jerk does not make you "tough" or "hard-hitting" or "edgy", it just makes you a jerk and probably a moron. For instance. How come every time you try to ask a legal question on yahoo answers about why a state as a certain odd law, the "realistic" people come out telling you to "stop complaining and move somewhere else"?

How come every time you ask a question about why something doesn’t work, some "realistic" douche comes out of the woodwork, once again, and instead of simply explaining to you HOW to get this product to work, they feel like they HAVE TO remind you that "you chose to buy the product" so it’s "your fault", even though in your original question you didn’t place the blame on anyone. Noone here was playing the blame game except for the "realistic" moron who thought he had to "tell it like it is" to the question-asker.

Like right now, I’m asking a question. I want an answer to this question. WHY do people do this? If you don’t have an answer your response will be flagged. This makes people angry for some reason, but I don’t understand why. I already know one of you morons is going to respond with "stop whining". I’m not whining, I’m asking a question. And this is "Yahoo answers" not "Yahoo you’re not allowed to express dislike for anything or your a whiner".

Yes, I complained about some state laws I thought were stupid. But I ALSO reiterated that I am making positive changes to influence change in this. So this person had NO RIGHT to respond with "move somewhere else". I shouldn’t be told to move simply because I disagree with one thing my state does, and because I voice my disagreement. His answer was promptly flagged for not being an answer.

Once again, the name of this site is Yahoo ANSWERS, and because his reply was not an answer I had every right to do this. Will somebody please ANSWER my QUESTIONS instead of giving me cranky "comebacks" this time? Why do people get so angry when I tell them, in my question, that non-answers will be flagged?

First, anyone that just wants to give me some unhelpful nasty answer-please go find something else to do. Im a ebay powerseller-After receiving several BS violations, like copyright infringement and unauthorized item, my account is about to be closed. Once ebay flags you for a violation-its downhill from there. My pictures and items are all legally within there rights, but Im having problems still getting them to help me. I am working on opening a new account-went and opened bank account in another state, ebay, paypal and yahoo email account with different address-but still my name. Is this enough or will I get nailed from my IP address? Anyone know any helpful tips on how to get another account opened without it being traceable to ebay using my same computer? In seven years of selling I have a 99.7% feedback-only 1 negative-so please I dont want to hear about people who have bad buying experiences-people just dont w/ me-Im a good seller/person stuck on ebays black list.

I recently found a car I liked on craigslist, super cheap for what it’s really worth. But the seller wanted me to pay via ebay saying it’s more secure. I agreed, but after recieving the invoice supposedly from ebay, I did some research. The seller had posted the same car in multiple cities on craigslist which got flagged for removal. I asked her about it, and recieved a "switching the subject" response. The other fishy thing was that they wanted me to pay using moneygram on "ebay". I researched this as well, and ebay actually said that they don’t allow for that. They only do paypal or in person, and that it’s a big sign of a scam.

I have to admit, instead of just using ebay, the seller had it posted on craigslist. The price was just too good, which I had to talk myself out of. I wanted to warn anyone who might be going through the same thing that it’s probably a scam…

ebay said there are spoof emails that look so legit, so be careful everyone! There are even fake ebay sites!

Craigslist suggested to do local buyers anyway to avoid scams, and they were also against moneygram on their site.

Im from an area with Majority immigrants from Mexico–everyday I see people buying groceries wearing designer clothes and paying with EBT Welfare cards and loading their groceries into Luxery SUV’s. I see immigrations showing up at a Turkey plant in town (Jennie-O) and hauling illegals away. Then two days later they have an ad on the internet looking for employees and the hire more illegal aliens. Why is this not being dealt with more seriously?
