Tony Stewart Fans…?
Well, when the checkered flag drops at Homestead, Tony Stewart will end a relationship that has lasted for about a decade with Joe Gibbs Racing, Greg Zipadelli, and the Home Depot. That being said, are you Stewart fans looking forward to his last race with JGR and his role as an owner next year or will you be sad that the relationship comes to an end this week?
Wow, I just noticed that I became a top contributor and I’ve only been on here for a like month. Interesting…

wouldn’t say i’m looking forward to this last race, it is the end of an era…Tony and Zippy have been together longer than any other driver and crew chief and my box of Kleenix is waiting to be opened on Friday as soon as practice starts. But this is what is going to happen, since Tony is my drive of choice I will look forward to next year and watching everyone eat crow when Stewart-Haas Racing has a fantasic year!

I am anticipating next year very much. Ryan is my favorite driver, but Tony is a very close second. I can’t wait for the crews to be announced. Go Stewart-Haas Racing!!

Mixed emotions to say the least.
He and Zippy have worked well over the last 10 years or so.
But he needs tobe back in a Chevy to get more wins and another championship.
I hope that he gets off to a good start, and maintains momentum.

Not going to be easy not seeing him in the 20 car anymore. And I am sure it is going ot be hard for him without Zippy there right beside him.
But I am excited for Tony cant wait to see how he does. I know he is very happy to be back in a chevy.

I am glad Tony will be owning/driving for Haas next year. I think he has had many good years with Gibbs, but it is time for him to step out on his own. Mold his own team to his driving, liking and be in a Chevy. Poor guy went through Chevy with draw this year and had not had one of his best season filled with some disappointment
I think it will be an ‘emotional thing for Tony to drive his last race with Gibbs. They have been together a long while. I am sad that the relationship is coming to an end, but it is the best for Tony.

yes its sad but we all have to move on to better things and with tony getting a little older, its best to get a team while he can still race so he is set for awhile

Congrats on your TC. Tony and Zipppy have the longest driver/crew chief relationship in NASCAR history,,,11yr. sad to see it end, but maybe it is time for everyone to start a new era. I hope they all do well.

At the beginning, I was VERY sad to see Tony taking off on his own, leaving Zippy & the guys especially to join forces w/ the Hendrick organization, but lately with how terrible his cars have been, I cannot wait to see him go. Judging by the look on his face in the qualifying & practice pictures, he hasn’t been very happy lately either. I don’t know if they are giving him bad cars and I would like to think not but who knows. He is leaving after all.
Now I cannot wait to see how he does next year, he seems so excited about it and so am I. I really hope that they are able to find their GM and get the ball rolling and off of his back. A second sponsor for the 39 wouldn’t hurt either.
