Why do latinos in Los Angeles hate america?
There was a soccer game a few years back between mexico and the US in Los Angeles. Mexican fans (most of whom were living in america if not american citizens) booed the star spangled banner, threw bottles and beer at the american players and attacks somebody with an american flags. And there have been incidents outside of soccer games in latino children have tried to replace an american flag with a mexican flag.
Why is there so much hatred for america in LA’s latino community?

I haven’t noticed LA latinos hating the US at all and I grew up working on Olvera St and family that worked in East LA. Quite the opposite. You’re judging a whole lot of people by one incident where you don’t have all the facts (citations?). And what incidents of children replacing flags? Never heard of it. And how do you know the nationality of these people?

I would completely disagree with your question, because it is loaded, biased, and based on a single incident. Anecdotal evidence like that can be very misleading.
If I recall that game, there was a lot of high emotion on both sides. And Mexicans in the US still have strong ties to family in Mexico, and have strong patriotic feelings. If you get a few thugs full of beer before a game, you get some very bad behavior.
I don’t this particular incident is a good indicator of latino attitudes towards America. If that were true, then why are millions of latinos in LA here, busting their @$$es working at crappy jobs, and trying to become citizens?
I don’t buy it. It’s an incorrect conclusion from an isolated incident.

i dont think they hate the country, it was just a game, i dont know if you practice a sport, it could be like an amateur thing but you get all energetic and mad.
so dont get an idea just by looking a soccer game that people are really like that.
me being a latino, don’t forget where i’m from but no way i hate this country, if not i wouldn’t be here, just like the rest!

It’s not a hatred of the US it’s extreme fanaticism for their team. That is typical football (soccer) fan behavior around the world.
Many soccer matches around the world make our football and baseball rivalries seem like Sunday tea with grandma. I’m sure you’ve seen videos of hooligans beating the snot out of the opposing teams fans. They’ll even jump on the field and attack the refs if they make a bad call. Several soccer stadiums around the world are built with protective cages for visiting teams fans in addition to being surrounded by riot police so the home team fans don’t kill them. Some stadiums even have subway tunnels built into the stadium that drop the opposing teams fans off in their protected section.
Watch Green Street Holligans for a sanitized version of what soccer matches are like.

Another example is that my association banned homes from displaying or flying the American flag because a Mexican couple complained they were offended, so they wrote it into the CC&R rules that you will be fined if you do. What’s that saying, to bite the hand that feeds you, something like that.

well I wouldn’t generalize all latinos because I am a latino and I adore my country, THE USA. The problem is like in many sporting events you had drunk, uneducated, and arrogant fanatics, and mexicans are the biggest patriots towards their country. I would say its just plain ignorance because if most of those people actually lived in Mexico they would see how people struggle to live, they would deal with the highly corrupt government and city officials, most of them would barely afford any type of education and most likely live in poverty. I think the problem with those type of people is that they take the country they live in and the same country that gives them endless opportunities and possibilities for granted, they cherish their Mexico so much they forget that the US should be their love. The sad thing is they teach their own children that. But you know who I blame, the parents and the government of THIS country for letting spanish be the spoken language in many schools.

I don’t hate America!!
