why do more people go to disneyland compared to six flags?
I’m 19 and I live in southern california, and I noticed more people go to disneyland compared to six flags, why is that? People go to theme parks for the rides right? Well six flags has way more exciting rides that give you that thrill and ride feeling. Whenever any of my friends go to a theme park it’s six flags, and I don’t get what it is with disneyland? All the rides would put me to sleep there!

Six Flags is dirty. Six Flags is populated by out-of-control teenagers. Six Flags is a gang hangout. Six Flags is only about thrill rides, so if you’re not into that you’d be bored. Six Flags is not themed.
Disneyland is none of that. Disney has a wide variety of rides and attractions that appeal to everyone. Disney is immersively themed, really providing the illusion that you are somewhere else. Disney is sparkly clean.

When you go to Six Flags, you are ready to get pumped, excited, thrilled, and you are ready for whatever hits you.
When you go to Disneyland, you are ready for a trip down memory lane, feeling like you are that innocent 7 year old, and basically, have fun.
Me, personally, I prefer Knott’s Berry Farm out of the three, but I still like Disneyland and Six Flags.
Well, at least you live in SoCal by all the theme parks (lucky you!)

In addition to what the others have said…
Six Flags has 19 locations in the USA. Disney has Anaheim and Orlando. If you live in the Midwest, Northwest and South you can choose from several Six Flags theme parks to go to. They all pretty much have the same rides across the US so why would you go to Six Flags in So Cal when you can go to Disneyland which you don’t have in St. Louis? Disney has a carefully honed mystique and cache’. Disney is an entertainment conglomerate. I’m sure you’re familiar with Disney Channel, Disney movies, etc. From an early age Disney has ingrained it’s brand into your conscience. I admit that I love Disney.
You’re 19, when I was that age I wouldn’t have liked Disney either. When you get a bit older and have had a full time job beating you down for 10 years than you’ll understand the desire to want to get away from it all and act like a kid again at Disney.

Disney has more for family type, as six flags is most for young adult. Disney has more to see than six flags.
If disneyland put u to sleep, six flags make to shiit over there.

because six flags sucks. it is full with a ton of low life dirty people who don’t care about anything they do. disneyland, on the other hand, actually has some class and is clean. they actually care about their guests and want them to have a good time. their rides are much more worth the wait and keeps you entertained even when you are waiting in line. you want to go to six flags, good luck trying not to get killed, mugged, snuck drugs, or anything else bad.

Disneyland is, and will always be, the family place. They have way more rides for smaller kids or people who don’t want to go upside down 8 times in 2 minutes. The streets are clean, the rides are fun as opposed to gut-wrenching puke inducers and they have better food that stays in your bod because the rides aren’t gut-wrenching puke inducers. The weather isn’t a blast furnace in the summer, the security is the best in the business (which is why gangs stay away, and that’s a good thing), it’s easier to get to for people who live south of Downtown and further than the valley, they have tons of other things to do besides the rides, there are two parks instead of just one, PLUS a world class hotel with more restaurants and places to chill, PLUS a relatively new state of the art movie theater with stadium seating that is attached to a massive outdoor shopping area that also has over a dozen places to eat.
It’s NOT just the rides – it’s the whole package. If you ask someone in the middle of Siberia if they’ve heard of Six Flags, they’ll look at you with a blank expression on their face and say ‘nyet.’ Ask them if they’ve heard of Mickey Mouse or Disneyland, and they smile and nod.
Any other questions?
