Would if offend you if they played some other song other than the National Anthem before pro ballgames?
Around July 24, 2010, the Houston Astros were playing a team and a man was on the field singing. When I turned on the sound, the song was not "The Star-Spangled Banner" by Francis Scott Key, but I think it was "God Bless America" which is a good song, but not the correct one. The crowd was standing there reverently saluting the flag. What would you have done?

I would have finished my beer and waited for the game to start. What’s the difference, honestly?

Well nothing is more offensive than Gary Glitter’s song Rock n Roll Part 2, but they still play that at almost every ballgame and nobody seems to notice or care. Maybe Americans just don’t know about that guy, but it’s ironic that his song is such a popular anthem still in baseball, while it’s mostly families with their children at these places. It’s like their paying for his legal fees and rent and food because he gets paid everytime the song is played. It really can’t get any worse than that. Skipping the Star-Spangled is small peanuts compared to that.

I’d have no problem with that.
